The water distillation process for the extraction of essential oils

 Water distillation is a process often utilized in the extraction of essential oils from natural sources, such as plants and flowers. This method involves heating water to produce steam, which then passes through a plant material. The steam facilitates the release of essential oils from the plant cells. As the steam rises, it carries the essential oils with it into a condenser, where it cools and condenses back into a liquid. This liquid, known as distillate, contains both water and essential oils.
